Hi, I'm Natalie.

I work with many adults who feel satisfied in many areas of their lives, but despite having great insight and knowledge, get stuck or overwhelmed in parts of life or relationships they can’t seem to ‘figure out’ on their own.

Whether it’s your first time, or you’ve had years of therapy behind you, it can be an overwhelming task to find the right fit. I strive to provide a warm and safe space, and work with the belief that every person has the capacity to experience deep healing and expansive living.

I consider it an honor and privilege to walk alongside clients as they shift their narratives and feel better in their bodies.

some background

About

A New Orleans native in a multi-cultural family with pronouns she/her, I grew up drawn to family stories around culture, community, trauma, and healing. It was when I volunteered with Americorps as an ESL instructor, I felt called to social work. My experience as a hospice social worker shifted my perspective on life and self-care, learning about grief, trauma, and resiliency of the human spirit

When working with clients, we look at attachment patterns and how they show up as threat responses in the nervous system. It’s a collaborative process in helping clients gain more somatic awareness and self regulation that helps to gain control of emotions and triggers.

Somatic Experiencing has had such a positive impact on my practice, I enjoy assisting in New Orleans first SE cohorts for beginning and intermediate years with Glynie Nickerson, PhD.

I’ve presented workshops for fellow therapists, and have experience presenting  at the Louisiana-Mississippi Hospice Palliative Care Organization, as well as the Army Corps of Engineers. I have personal interest in end of life care, as well as advocacy and education regarding early intervention in psychosis disorders and caregiver issues.

"Though we can’t predict or control what will come up next or how we will feel about it, we can do something about how we react. We can work on how we relate to whatever comes up." Pema Chödrön
