Hi, I'm Natalie.
Thanks for visiting! Born and raised in Southeast Louisiana, I bring a quiet warmth and grounded approach to my practice. I value educational opportunities in my field, as well as evidenced based research and practice. I’m interested in what makes therapy most efficient, effective, and transformative. I typically work with adults who have some insight into their own suffering, have had experience with therapy but feel ready to explore the deeper themes and negative self beliefs in hopes of experiencing authentic connection, trust, and safety in the world and their relationships.
Whether it’s your first time, or you’ve had years of therapy in the past, it can be a daunting process to find the right fit. If you’re ready to move beyond traditional talk therapy and you want to do the deeper work to have a more expansive life, get in touch for a free 10-20 minute phone consultation.

About
A New Orleans native in a multi-cultural family with pronouns she/her, I grew up drawn to family stories around culture, community, trauma, and healing. It was when I volunteered with Americorps as an ESL instructor, I felt called to social work. My experience as a hospice social worker shifted my perspective on life and self-care, learning about grief, trauma, and resiliency of the human spirit
When working with clients, we look at attachment patterns and how they show up as threat responses in the nervous system. It’s a collaborative process in helping clients gain more somatic awareness and self regulation that helps to gain control of emotions and triggers.
Somatic Experiencing has had such a positive impact on my practice, I have assisted in New Orleans first and second SE cohorts for beginning and intermediate years with Glyndie Nickerson, PhD. I’ve also trained with Peter Levine, author of “Waking the Tiger”, in working with near death experiences, as well as Kathy Kain, who authored “Nurturing Reslience” in somatic touch skills for therapists. In addition to somatic trainings, I’m also trained in other experiential and relational therapies (list below).
I’ve presented workshops for fellow therapists, and have experience presenting at the Louisiana-Mississippi Hospice Palliative Care Organization, as well as the Army Corps of Engineers. I have personal interest in end of life care, as well as advocacy and education regarding early intervention in psychosis disorders and caregiver issues.
"Though we can’t predict or control what will come up next or how we will feel about it, we can do something about how we react. We can work on how we relate to whatever comes up." Pema Chödrön
